The short version: LCD-84 collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared. The app works entirely on your devices.
If you add a weather block to a watch face, the app asks for location access to fetch your local forecast; the same permission also drives the compass heading on the ABC face, its altitude reading when the barometric sensor doesn't have one yet, and the sunrise and sunset times shown by the sunrise/sunset blocks and the Moon & Sun face. Your approximate coordinates are sent only to the Open-Meteo weather API, solely to return the current conditions — the compass heading and sun times are computed on the watch and never sent anywhere. We never receive, store or log your location, and the app works fully without it (the weather block simply shows --°, sun-based displays show --:--).
The ABC face also reads barometric altitude from the device's motion sensors to show elevation. This reading is computed on the watch, is never transmitted anywhere, and is never stored off the watch.
Exchange rates. The converter downloads daily European Central Bank reference rates via the keyless api.frankfurter.app API. The request carries no identifier and no information about you or what you are converting; the rates are cached on the watch so the converter keeps working offline.
Data Bank entries can be typed by hand or imported from Contacts. The system contact picker hands the app only the specific contacts you select — LCD-84 is never granted ongoing access to your address book. A picked contact's name and phone number are stored exactly like a typed Data Bank entry, in your own synced settings, and are never sent anywhere.
If you add a heart rate block, the app reads your latest heart-rate sample from HealthKit to display it on the face. The Twin Graph face and the steps display block read your step count from HealthKit. The Activity face reads your Move, Exercise and Stand rings from HealthKit. This data never leaves your watch. LCD-84 never writes anything to Health.
The LCD-84 Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Your purchase is tied to your Apple Account and restorable at any time.
Your face and theme settings sync directly between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity — locally, between your own devices.
LCD-84 does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
