Steel Ball Brawl · Effective 10 August 2026
Steel Ball Brawl has no adverts, no analytics service, no third-party tracking, and no third-party code of any kind inside it. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone. The game asks for no account, no name, no email address and no location.
Four things leave your device, and only when the feature that needs them is being used. They are set out below in full.
| What | When | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| An anonymous match result — mode, length, final score, format | When an online match finishes | So I can see whether online matchmaking is being used and working | Indefinitely. It contains nothing that identifies you or your device. |
| A push notification token issued by Apple | Only if you allow notifications | To tell you when another player is waiting for an online match | Until you turn notifications off, delete the app, or Apple reports the token dead — then deleted automatically. |
| Your IP address | On any request to the game's server | Counting requests per source so nobody can flood the service | A per-minute counter, discarded within minutes. Never stored against a player or a match. |
| Your career save | Only if iCloud is signed in | So your career follows you between your own devices | In your iCloud account, under your control. I cannot read it. |
Online matches and the weekly leaderboards run on Apple's Game Center. When you play online, Apple handles finding your opponent and holds any leaderboard scores and the nickname you chose with Apple — I never receive or store your Apple ID, your real name, or your email address. Apple's handling of that is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not this one.
The career unlock is sold by Apple, not by me. Apple processes the payment and tells the app only whether this Apple ID owns the unlock. I never see your payment details, and I do not receive a list of who has bought it.
Your settings, your career save, your progress, and whether you have been shown the rating prompt all live on the device (and in your own iCloud if you have it switched on). None of it is sent to me.
The game is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing for advertising or profiling, because it does neither. Online play is match-only: there is no chat, no messaging and no way for players to send each other anything.
Turning off notifications for Steel Ball Brawl, or deleting the app, removes the only stored item that is tied to your device — the push token.
If you would like anything deleted or want to know what is held, email dev@peltriaux.com and I will answer. Because match results carry no identifier at all, I have no way to find yours among them — which is the point of collecting them that way.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the previous wording will not be quietly replaced without that date moving.
