Terms of Use

Steel Ball Brawl · Effective 10 August 2026

The agreement

Steel Ball Brawl is made and published by Pascal Peltriaux ("I", "me"). By installing or playing it you accept these terms. They sit alongside Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to every app bought through the App Store; where the two disagree, Apple's terms win.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the game on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. The game, its art, its sound and its code stay mine. You may not sell it, rent it, take it apart to extract its assets, or pass it off as your own.

The purchase

The game is free to download and includes one full career competition. A single one-time purchase, the career unlock, opens every competition after that. It is a permanent unlock, not a subscription: it is bought once and does not renew or expire.

Payment is taken by Apple, and the unlock follows the Apple ID that bought it. Restoring it on another of your devices costs nothing — use Settings → Restore Purchases in the game.

Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. I cannot issue them myself, though I would like to hear what went wrong.

Playing online

Online play runs on Apple's Game Center and needs a Game Center account and a working connection. There is no chat and no way for players to send each other anything, so there is little to misuse — but I may block access to the online service for anyone who attacks it, floods it, or tries to forge results. Online is a free feature and may be changed or withdrawn if running it stops being practical; the paid career unlock does not depend on it.

What I do not promise

The game is provided as it is. I do not promise it will be free of faults, that online play will always be available, or that it will suit any particular purpose. Nothing here excludes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded — in Australia, that includes the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law, and those apply regardless of anything written here.

Beyond those rights, my liability for anything arising from the game is limited to what you paid for it.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to play after a change means accepting it. If a change is one you do not accept, the remedy is to stop using the game and, if you have paid within Apple's refund window, to ask Apple for a refund.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
